Description

Comprising: a pendant necklace, a pair of pendent earrings, and a brooch, each set with variously-shaped flat-cut foil-back garnets mounted in collet settings, necklace length approximately 430mm, extra link provided, pendant detachable, pair of earrings with shepherd's crook hook fittings, fitted case.

Condition

Garnets well matched throughout parure with typical inclusions visible with a 10x lens, some with very small cavities and scratches only visible with magnification. All foil in very good condition. Necklace: One old repair to one connecting link on reverse. One separate additional link to necklace which would have been removed from the left hand side to make it shorter, a pendant loop to central link. Some light scratching and small indentations to polished reverse consistent with age and wear. Pendant: Reverse with later pin catch, pin deficient, residue of gold solder and flux visible, light scratching, consistent with age and wear. Brooch: Pin a little loose at hinge, tarnished to the reverse. Earrings: both with later screw fittings and ear hooks, original fittings have been removed. In very good condition.
