Description

rosewood and brass inlaid

Condition

This interestingly designed piece is impressive but in tired condition. The top has a separation through the middle and some watermarks. It is a nice colour despite damage. There is lifting to some inlaid brass and veneers and there has been some repairs to areas which have been lifting. There are age cracks, marks and scratches and some losses to the veneer throughout. It is of a slightly wobbly stance. Some of the brass inlay is tarnished. The gilt metal mounts to each foot, whilst tarnished, are boldly cast and look great. There is an old split to one of the four feet. An interesting and very decorative lot that would benefit from a thorough clean and restoration.
