Description

  • h.130cm.; w.88cm.
mahogany with a swan neck pediment

Condition

Of a good size and the mahogany is a nice rich colour. The swan neck pediment has some cracks to the veneer. The urn finial may well be associated but is a good colour match and probably period. The doors are good, so often one sees splits or warping on these on similar pieces. There is a filled aperture on one door where some sort of knob/handle would have been - although this marking is fairly unobtrusive. The drawers have veneer splits. The moulding at the base has a re-attached section. The interior is in good order although at some stage has been black painted and has some scratches. A good solid example of its type.
