ebonised and parcel gilt, with lions head monopodia
Condition
Good solid condition. All the chairs have been redecorated and now have gold paint over the formerly gilded areas. The painted decoration is now somewhat distressed with large areas of flaking paint. Some minor repairs to the feet, it is possible that there have been other repairs which are now hidden by the paint. Three seats have been re-caned. Very fine quality chairs of good strong design.
