Description

walnut and ebonized, with marquetry decoratiion
Condition
This piece looks good in the flesh. The finely inlaid marquetry is much clearer than in the photograph. A useful piece in relatively good condition. The walnut is a nice colour and well figured if a little dry in places. There is a very slight warp to the top. There is a split and a small area of bubbling veneer to the right side, the left side is faded from the sun. It has adjustable shelves which is nice, the black painted interior in which these sit has scratches and marks - probably disguised when the piece is full of books. Typical old marks and scratches commensurate with age. A useful and decorative piece.
