carved and stained ivory (complete), together with a large number of miscellaneous Cantonese and Indian pieces from the 19th century

Condition

An interesting group. Cantonese set - the most complete and better of the groups (red figures Oriental and white ones European) in good overall condition with minor losses throughout; including three missing flags to rooks, all daggers missing to white pawns and to all bishops. With minor glued repair to white rook and some rubbing to red stain consistent with age. The numerous other pieces in varying condition many are fragments, distressed are from quite a few different sets.
