- 19cm.; 7½in. and 16cm.; 6¼in.
of campana form, painted by Richard Dodson, with numerous birds, some resting on branches, others in flight, against a white ground gilt with urns, foliate scrolls and anthemion, set with gilt serpent handles

Condition
Large vase- haircrack to rim, approx. 1½in. Two smaller fine haircracks to rim, each approx. 1in. One handle has been restored.
Smaller vases- One has an area of restoration to the lower body, approx. 2½in. by 2in. Area of flaking to enamels, approx. ½in. square and also a very small area of flaking elsewhere. The third vase with minor wear.
All three vases with some crazing to the glaze.

Catalogue Note
Richard Dodson is best known for his paintings of birds in landscapes. Born in about 1795, he was apprenticed at the Derby factory and was there from about 1813 until he left in 1820.
