12-inch dial signed Char Cabrier, London, with double cherub and crown spandrels, calendar aperture and seconds dial, the substantial three train movement with six ring-turned knopped pillars, bell striking and chiming the quarters on six bells, five wheel trains, the associated case with domed caddy cresting, shaped surmount and three brass finials, above a frieze fret, moulded cornice and further fret, brass-capped hood pilasters, rectangular trunk door inset with a lenticle, the front decorated with foliate scrolls and birds on a pale ground, the sides crossbanded and divided into panels, the similarly inlaid plinth with moulded base

Movement and dial in need of a clean, movement retains original wheel work, one quarter bell cracked. Case very dry with some missing mouldings, many cracks, surmount detached from cresting, tip of one finial lacking, with pendulum, 3 brass-cased weights, case key and winder.
