Description

  • 264cm. 8ft. 8in. high
the discs playing on two combs, massive motor wound vertically within the case, the clock with 9½-inch dial, Lenzkirch '1 Million' movement striking on a gong and releasing the musical movement at each hour, the case with domed top surmounted by a turned flambeau finial above turned pillars and a carved winged cherubs head, the trunk door with geometric mouldings and applied foliate carving, the fluted plinth with moulded base and bracket feet; together with six discs

Condition

Clock dial dirty. Clock movement complete but needs a clean, release string missing. Musical movement will play but is very dirty. Combes in good condition but lead dampers are badly corroded and will require attention. Case is lacking side finials to cresting, many minor losses to mouldings but we have some of the pieces, dirty and with old scuffs and marks throughout, rear clock door detached. With pendulum, clock winder, musical movement winder, door key and six discs.
