12-inch painted dial signed Wm: Middlecoat, Newington, Surry, with subsidiary dials for calendar and seconds and a strike/not strike lever at XII, five pillar rack and bell striking movement, the case with three ball finials above a broken-arch moulded cornice, stop-fluted canted corners and scale frets to the hood door, the trunk with similarly arched door veneered with well figured wood of rich colour, similar pilasters, panelled plinth with shaped apron
