A pair of gilt-metal twin light candelabra 19th century

after a design by Abbott, of typical form, the foliate branches supported by the beak of each bird, later wired for electricity

Very decorative and generally in good order. These probably date from the end of the nineteenth and possibly even early 20th century. Both have been fitted for electricity and there are drill holes to the sconces and drip pans of each. Plastic candles have been glued into each sconce. Each will require re-wiring. There is some tarnishing and ingrained dirt. Both are cast facing the same way, although the branches are in different positions (these could be adjusted to face the same way). There is a crude aperture on the underide of ecah bird, possibly to allow for wiring now gone. Fun.
