Catalogue Note

These designs show the gardens created at Middleton Park to designs by Lewis Kennedy (see lot 325) and the Jersey Chapel by Lewis Vulliamy (see lot 324).  Two of the cottages designed by Thomas Cundy (see lot 319) that depicted here, titled 'William's Cottage' and 'The Swiss Cottage', remain in the village at Middleton.
