  • interlacing L and date letters bb in blue, painters mark 'LG' possibly  for Etienne-Henry Le Guay

the cup decorated with an exotic gilt-framed scene of a Turk seated smoking on a terrace, two servants by his side, the saucer painted with a panel of a group of travellers in an Egyptian landscape, both against a beau bleu ground, an elaborate diaper scrollwork cartouche running around the edge of the rims

Condition

The cup- overall in good condition. Three tiny black specks to the glaze on the painted panel. Several minor light scratches to the enamels. The saucer- some typical light scratches to the painted panel.
