Description

  • 39cm. 15¼in. high
6¼-inch dial with oriental mask spandrels, matted centre with apertures for date and mock pendulum, the arch with a day of the week dial enclosing a sector revealing the ruling deity, two train bell striking fusee movement with five knopped and ring-turned pillars, verge escapement, backplate engraved with foliate scrolls around a basket of flowers, repeating work removed, inverted bell top case with carrying handle and brass-framed apertures on all sides

Condition

Dial needs rings re-silvering. Movement lacking repeating work but otherwise complete and in need of a clean. Case generally good with a few veneer cracks, the finish now rather dull. No winder or case key.
