with gilt-metal mounts, the four doors enclosing a velvet lined interior and two shelves, the shaped base centred by an anthemion and leaf scrolls

Of impressive proportions and in very good condition. The mounts are tidy and complete. Shelves lacking from central section. Velvet lining with typical fading and wear. The sides with some old repairs at the rear edge. Some losses to veneer to left side of plinth which also has some repairs to a section of brass stringing. Brass stringing with characteristic slight lifting in places. An impressive example of exceptional quality with particularly elaborate boulle work.
