4¼-inch enamel dial signed Viger A Paris with pierced and engraved hands, bell striking movement similarly signed and numbered 1385, with circular flat-bottomed plates and altered suspension, the chinoiserie case with bell-hung canopies above a stepped cresting raised on six cut pillars with balustrades at the base enclosing a seated chinoiserie figure with parasol and bell, oval white marble plinth with beaded moulding and leaf cast feet

Good original gilding to the case, lacking one small bell from the cresting, marble base clean and with some very minor edge chips, hour hand fleur-de-lys removed, dial surface slightly scratched, front glass and back cover lacking, movement in need of a clean and overhaul, escapement requires some adjustment as it tends to run through unevenly, silk suspension changed to spring and adjustment rod lacking, bell stand repaired with soft solder; no winder or pendulum
