- 72.5cm. high, 93cm. wide, 47.cm. deep; 2ft. 4¼in., 3ft. ½in., 1ft. 6½in.
engraved and cut bone, fully rigged and with 74 guns, the three deck model on a mahogany stand with an ivorine label 'THREE-DECKER MODEL IN BONE H.M.S RESOLUTION (74 GUNS) MADE ABOUT 1805 BY FRENCH PRISONERS OF WAR PRESENTED TO J. C. AKERMAN, BY HIS COLLEAGUES ON THE STAFF OF THE TIMES, DEC 15 1928', restoration and the ebonised and glazed case from this date
Condition
A fine piece in very good condition. The blocks and tackle which secure the ship in its case are later as is some of the rigging.
