Description

  • 238cm. high, 179cm. wide, 59cm. deep; 7ft. 9½in., 5ft. 10½in., 1ft. 11in.
the double domed cornice with twin roundels and painted intials 'AMB' with date, the carved panels on the pair of doors with depictions of allegories, which include Justice and Hope, the interior with a hanging space, the base with two drawers and bold bun feet

Condition

An academic piece. Decorative and of an impressive scale. Some scuffing and chipping and wear and separations throughout commensurate with age and use. The base is lacking a small section of moulding on the front left corner. Three of the large carved panels on the front have typical splits. The left side with a partial split and some fragmented timber on the upper rear edge. The oak back panels possibly associated and lacking a narrow vertical section at the centre.
