- 81cm. high, 193cm. wide, 51cm deep; 2ft 8in., 6ft 4in., 1ft 8in.
the three frieze drawers with mitred mouldings above an ogee arched apron, on five upturned vase shaped legs with square feet
Condition
Attractive colour and patination. Top with typical separation and partial splits. Old repair to front right corner of the top and some old fragmenting to the surface at this corner. The front right leg has a repaired fracture in the bobbin turned surmount. The right side with old fragmenting on the rear corner and the adjacent rear leg. Of pleasing proportion with distinctive arched apron

Catalogue Note
The ogee arched apron frieze is an unusual transitional feature on a desser base at this early date. There is a comparative dresser illustrated by David Knell, English Country Furniture 1500-1900, Woodbridge, 1992, p.150, pl. 149.
