incorporating a figure of St. Claude, Abbot of Condat, Bishop of Besançon to the left, half length figures of emperors and kings bearing sceptors and swords, a woman holding hands with a king to the right, all on a blue background with gold fleur de lys and with French Gothic script below detailing the lineage of the Carolingian dynasty to the Duke of Aquitaine, Count of Poitiers.
