7-cm enamel dial with Roman numerals and alarm subidiary below, trefoil hands and sweep seconds, movement signed Japy Frères & Cie with club tooth lever platform escapement with plain balance, trip repeating rack striking and alarm on a bell, brass case inset with bevelled glass panels surmounted by a scroll and putto handle, all borders with elaborate scroll relief, canted corners with sculptural figures, moulded plinth with similar relief raised on shaped feet
