22-cm gilt ornate relief dial with cartouche Roman numerals and shaped blued hands, a foliate pierced mount below with an eagle above an enamel plaque bearing the signature Gribelin A Paris, similar signed movement with ring turned baluster pillars, verge escapement and silk suspended pendulum, countwheel striking on a bell for the hours, passing strike for the half hours, later boulle inlaid case with bell top surmounted by a trumpeting angel and eight finials, gilt moulded arched cornice above the canted corners with herm mounts, shaped glazed front door, scrolled base raised on turned feet, together with a later ogee shaped bracket, restorations
