the later rectangular veined and mottled grey marble top above a pierced frieze delicately carved with a central cartouche enclosing a stylised scallop flanked on each side by scrolling acanthus embellished with flowers and foliation, on scrolling cabriole legs carved en suite and embellished with honeysuckle, joined by an acanthus carved X-shaped stretcher and on leaf-capped hoof feet
