woven with a landscape setting with river bank with seated bag-pipe player, dancers in Teniers style, within an elaborated architectural surround of flanking Corinthian columns with scrolling fruit and foliage, and architrave above with pendant swags



 

Condition

The colours of the printed catalogue illustration are slightly too yellow. Minor areas of re-stitching en re-weaving. With later selfedge. Slight wear to the darker browns. Minor areas of re-patching to the reverse. Overall faded due to sunlight. Minor tears to the selfedge. Overall in reasonably good condition.
