of elegant shape, cast with the inscription A IVLLIEN ME FECIT 1706, and a town shield flanked by two lions and inscribed Lirensis (Lyre), with clanger and suspension of wrought iron
Catalogue Note
An Alexius Jullien is recorded as a bell founder during the first third of the 18th century in the Southern Netherlands. Lirensis is most probably to be identified with the town of Lyre located in Normandy.
