Description

  • painted JLL monogram in white enamel
  • lamp 32.25cm., 13½in.
of ovoid form tapering to a point, painted with shaped panels of arabesque and geometric scroll , the shoulders set with three loop handles, the waisted neck reserved with three flower panels, the chain with two graduated enamelled and gilt flattened orbs suspended from a pierced gilt-metal dome

Condition

Glass and enamels in good condition, just a small amount of bubbling to the white enamel. General wear to gilt on the lamp, this is most pronounced on the main large blue Arabesque panels. The two subsiduary orbs have lost nearly all their gilding. The hanging chains are lacking.
