Condition

Large Vase - both handles restuck where base of handles joins the body, one with upper joint of handle restuck to boss, the other with boss restuck to body of vase. Pin head sized rim chip by one handle, the join at main body to lower body is quite rough. Painting in good condition, six small areas of enamel flaked from the back and wing of the green bird perched to the right of the cock in the photograph, the reverse 3mm body chip and flake to a bird. Gilding with very minor wear, minor crazing to glaze. Smaller vase, left side of photograph - three flakes to green enamel on wing of bird perched at the top, several flakes visible on green and rockwork at base of panel. There are more and larger flakes to the main bird on the reverse , the largest being 12 x 3 mm, two of which have been overpainted, this is quite disfiguring. Minor wear to gilt and the join between the main body and lower body is quite rough. Minor crazing to glaze. Smaller vase on right side of photograph - there is a noticable amount of enamel flaking throughout the painted panel visible on the duck in the photograph but more prevalent on the parts not shown, minor wear to gilding and minor crazing to glaze.
