Description
painted in kakiemon-style on three sides with a phoenix perched on a flowering branch, the alternating sides painted with flowering peony, 24cm., 9½in., chip and haircracks to rim; together with two Bow fluted plates and two fluted dishes, circa 1755-60, each painted in kakiemon-style with the Two Quail pattern, minor restoration to rim of one plate, two minor haircracks to the other, each with a gilt-wood bracket shelf.

The two plates formerly in the collection of the Duke of Northumberland.

Condition
Vase: shallow chip to rim, approx. 1in. by ¼in. at deepest point. Two fine haircracks to the rim, each approx. ½in. two glaze nicks to rim. Horizontal scratch to body, approx. 3in. length.
Plates: one has two small restored rim chips. The other has two fine haircarcks to the rim, approx. 1in. and 2in.
Dishes: overall in good condition. One has some black specking to the glaze. Both with some scuffing to the glaze around the rim.
