each of ovoid form with a cobalt-blue ground, the front reserved with a panel of mythological scenes, signed C.Forter, enclosed by a dotted gilt frame, the reverse, neck and foot painted with gilt relief grotesques picked out with white dots, gilt handles in form of swans' necks, the cover with acorn finial, raised on a square base

Condition

Overall in very good condition. Some minor typical wear to gilding on knops, rims and edges of corners of bases. Some very minor losses to the white `jewelling'.
