Description

  • interlaced LL monogram enclosing date letters aa, and painters' marks in blue
  • 12cm., 4 3/4 in.
painted by Étienne Evans with a landscape vignette with an exotic bird in each side, within a gilt oval border reserved against the Fond Taillandier dot-patterned ground by Vincent Taillandier, the base of the spout painted with a bird in flight, the handle with gilt foliate motifs, the cover with a gilt fruit finial

Condition

the teapot with some wear to gilding of the rim, the oval vignette border and some dots of the background, there is a faint haircrack running from the base into the lower part of the vignette
