A Doccia holy water stoup circa 1750

in the white, modelled in low-relief with the encounter of Jesus and the woman of Samaria at the well, the acanthus moulded reeded frame bound with ribbons, two pierced holes for hanging (chipped rim of well, extensive firing crack)

Chip to the underside of the rim of the well, mainly under the rim 15 x 4 mm. Firing crack on lefthand side has extended to approximately 130mm across the back, across the front it passes through the knees of Jesus and half way across the well to just below the chip. A small olive coloured spot in the glaze lower right and some other glaze spots visible in the photograph.
