12-inch dial with rococo spandrels, matted centre with calendar aperture and recessed seconds dial signed Rose & Son, Foster Lane, London, strike/silent dial in the arch, the rack and bell striking movement with five knopped pillars, the case with reduced cresting above a broken-arch moulded cornice, brass capped stop-fluted pillars, similarly arched trunk door and panelled plinth with shaped apron, the interior with a rare original label for Joseph Rose & Son, Clock and Watchmakers at the Dial in St Ann's Lane, Foster Lane, Cheapside, London, the text repeated in French
