14-inch silvered dial with outer minute ring enclosing seconds dial with astronomer's marks and hours dial, signed Hunt & Roskell, New Bond St., London, the substantial movement with dead beat escapement, jewelled pallets, high count train, six-spoke wheels, maintaining power and wood dust cover, the separately suspended mecury pendulum with roller suspension, the case of rich colour with broken-arch top and foliate carved cresting with canted corners to the  hood, the trunk with similar corners and glazed door revealing a silvered beat plaque on foliate carved supports, the panelled plinth with stepped base
