3½-inch enamel dial signed Barwise, London with fleur-de-lys hands and set within a pierced and engraved gilt foliate mask, similarly signed five pillar two train fusee and chain gong striking movement with underslung jewelled ratchet tooth lever escapement with compensation balance and maintaining power, the rectangular gilt case engraved with leaves and stylised flowers, inset with heavy bevelled glass on the top and sides and with a shuttered back door
