7¾-inch convex silvered dial signed J.W.Benson, London with engraved flowers to the centre, trefoil hands and a strike/silent lever by IX, the substantial two train gong striking fusee and chain movement signed J.W.Benson, Ludgate Hill, London No.9204 with shoulderd plates, anchor escapement and maintaining power, the rectangular case with domed gadrooned cresting, inlaid brass foliate spandrels to the front, wood side frets and raised on bracket feet
