  • 61cm. 2ft high
9-inch dial with rococo spandrels, matted centre with calendar aperture, subsidiary dials on the upper corners for chime/silent and chime selection, the arch with a painted moon disc below an arc signed Lawson & Son, Old Steine, Brighton, the substantial three train fusee movement signed Joseph Lum, London , formerly a musical movement and now re-trained for quarter chiming on eight bells, striking the hour on a further bell and with anchor escapement, the T shaped backplate engraved with leaf scrolls around a basket of fruit, the bell top case with stop-fluted canted corners, gilt rococo frets to the front door and side carrying handles above scale frets
