7½-inch dial with pierced and engraved foliate mask, matted centre, the arch with subsidiary chime/silent, regulation and chime selection dials, the massive three train fusee and chain movement chiming on a nest of eight bells or four gongs and striking on a further gong, the breakfront case with moulded dome cresting and flambeau finials above gilt Corinthian columns, side handles, pierced side frets,  and foliate mounts, the base with presentation inscription dated 1886, on bun feet; together with a conforming wall bracket
