Description

  • 50cm. 19¾in. high
6¼-inch dial with rococo shell spandrels, signed An:Wachter, Schwechad, the engraved centre with alarm disc and  calendar and mock pendulum apertures, the arch with a moon disc above subsidiary strike control dials, the trip repeating movement with knopped pillars, fusee and chain for the going train, standing barrels for the strike trains, verge escapement, pull wind alarm and striking the hours and quarters on two bells, the backplate engraved with a rococo design within a wheatear border, the case with moulded domed cresting applied with brass mounts and surmounted by a double headed crowned eagle, the sides and the front door with brass frets
