A French lantern clock, early 18th century

7½-inch twelve-piece enamel cartouche dial with central alarm disc and a cresting of a cockerel above a mask flanked by trumpeting putti and leaf scrolls, the weight driven posted movement with ratchets on both great wheels and verge escapement with silk suspension, alarm removed, the frame with slender baluster corner columns, turned finials and feet, iron back and top mounted bell, lacking side doors
