Description
- 44.5cm 17½in.high
4¾-inch enamel dial signed Breguet, the bell striking and trip repeating movement with inverted broken-arch plates signed Breguet No. 4316 with tandem drive to both trains from a single spring barrel wound from an arbor at the front concealed by the bezel, anchor escapement with silk suspension, the backplate mounted with two pendulum locking devices, the hour hand jumping forward at half-hour intervals, the rectangular case with sliding back and surmounted by a bust of Apollo; with a certificate indicating that the clock was first sold to a Mr.Bradshaw 28th November 1826
