A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF GUANYIN YUAN/MING DYNASTY

cast seated at ease on a circular base with her right hand resting on her right knee and her left hand holding a small bottle at her side, wearing a flowing skirt decorated with a floral border, the slender chest and waist with elaborate jewelled necklace inset with blue hardstones, the head turned slightly to one side and with a serene expression, richly gilded overall save for the long braided hair falling down over the shoulders 

Collection of Otto Rose, Dresden, purchased in Qingdao between 1905 and1908 (by repute).
