the incised base of rectangular section, rising to the slightly domed top finely carved in low-relief with a group of phoenixes of various sizes, each with their sharp beaks open and their heads shown in profile, turned away from their scrolling bodies accented with incised keyfret bands, the yellowish-orange stone with white inclusions and a russet vein running diagonally across the top, fitted box (2)

The seal is in overall good condition with some small chips to the bottom edge, one polished down and the largest 1/4 inch long.
