the box exquisitely carved to the exterior as lotus petals, the interior of the mouthrim secured with a flattened ring to hold the seedpod cover in place; together with a small rhinoceros horn cup carved to a U-shape with everted rim, the short foot with recessed base (3)
Condition
The ivory container has one age crack to the bottom approximately 3/4 inch long. The container and cover both have nice patina with minor scratches to the interior and the underside of the cover. There is one tiny hole to the base. It is in overall good condition. The rhinoceros horn cup is in excellent condition with five minute chips to the rim.
