Description
woven and embroidered with eight gold-couched four-clawed dragons in pursuit of 'flaming pearls' amidst ruyi-clouds, phoenix medallions, bats, and the 'Eight Daoist Immortal Emblems', all above lishui borders at the hem with peonies, the sleeves and collar with prunus flower design, the former further embellished with a panel depicting the 'Eight Emblems' between two thin bands of ruyi-heads and trees
Condition
The robe in good condition with minor wear to the embroidery at the edges revealing some of the red fabric underneath. The dragon at the top of the backside with some fraying, as well as to the bottom of the right hand sleeve and the black thread at the left hand sleeve. The buttons are intact and the interior blue silk with some minor faded spots.
