Description

each decorated with mirrored idyllic landscape roundels against a ruby ground painted with lotus flowers borne on a foliate scroll, with yellow-ground tapering cylindrical neck similarly decorated with lotus flowers and scrolls, flanked by orange archaistic dragon handles, the base drilled (2)

Condition

The vases have been drilled to be mounted as lamps; the hole in the base is approximately 2cm in diameter. There is some retouching to the enameling, mostly to the yellow and ruby-red enameling. There are a few enamel flakes to the vases, and some of the gilding has been rubbed off. The overall condition is fair.
