Description

the tall baluster body surmounted by an upright neck, painted with a pair of scaly sinuous dragons striding amongst large chrysanthemum and mallow flower sprays, all against a bright yellow ground, flanked on the shoulders by a pair of gilt lion-mask ring handles, all above a turquoise border with 'bird-and-flower' cartouches in reserve along the foot, repeated on the domed cover, set with a gilt lion-and-ball finial

Condition

There are chips and minor glaze flakes at the mouthrim. The gilding on the lion mask handles and finial have some wear, scattered minor areas of glaze pull to the body, and there is a small glaze flake above one of the dragons. The cover has minor kiln grit at the top and some enamel flakes, with chips around the rim.
