Description

the body with four roundels painted on two registers in underglaze-blue and iron-red on white, each of various floral displays issuing from ornamental garden rocks, the high shoulder and base with a blue and white V-scroll band, the body incised with white-glazed scrolling lotus, with white-glazed leaf lappets at the collar pointing to an everted rim, all reserved against a cafe au lait ground, a painted artemesia leaf at the base

Condition

The base is punctured through the artemesia leaf with a hole for lamp use. There is a hairline crack 2 inches long along the rim and is visible on the exterior and interior; there are also tiny vertical glaze crackles radiating downward from the rim. The exterior white glaze with scattered chipping. The three medallions in good condition with minute scratches and pinpricks.
