Description

the shallow dish with curved sides rising from a tapered foot, the interior central well enamelled in yellow with a ferocious five-clawed dragon chasing a 'flaming pearl' among scrolling clouds, the same motif repeated concentrically with a pair of dragons around the well and along the exterior, the latter above scrolling lappets, all against a rich blue ground, the mouth with a small everted rim, Japanese wood box (2)

Condition

Apart from a few faint glaze and enamel scratches on the surface, the overall condition is very good.
