with curved sides rising to a lobed everted rim, the interior well painted with geese amidst a lush riverbed landscape of flowers and craggy rocks, all enclosed in an eight-lobed medallion with alternating scale and maze patterns between ruyi-heads, the curved rim decorated with radiating lotus petal cartouches featuring opposite pairs of fans and stylized motifs, peaches, and knotted tassels in the narrower panels, the exterior with eight roundels containing butterflies and thin panels with lines, all in a deep underglaze-blue

Condition

There is fritting to the rim with one chip approximately 1/2 inch long. The interior well with spotted areas of kiln grit. A vertical chip to the exterior rim 1 inch long with an associated hairline crack. The exterior with iron spots. The blue in the catalogue image is slightly darker than on the dish.
