the globular body rising from a keyfret patterned foot, finely carved on each side with a circular medallion in the form of a lotus heart encircled by three registers of petal lappets, depicting scholars and attendants strolling among magnificent trees, dense clouds and meandering rivers, reserved against three distinct diaper grounds, below a pair of bats surrounding a vertical lotus spray against a floret-diaper ground to the neck, repeated on the sides of the body, all on a lush scrolling lotus ground, with 'dragon' handles at the neck below a band of ruyi-head lappets encircling the rounded rim

Condition
There are small areas of retouching on the rim and along details of the exterior. The rim has minute chips close to the interior. The carving is still intact and the vase is in good overall condition.
